Warrior, Season 3: We Spoke to Executive Producer Shannon Lee

After a three year break, Warrior is back for its third season, and this time it’s on HBO! Based on an original concept and treatment by Bruce Lee, the series is produced by his daughter, Shannon, and renowned director Justin Lin. In this Goggler exclusive, we sat down with Warrior executive producer Shannon Lee to talk about the show’s guiding principles, its cast, and its fidelity to real world history.

In the wake of the race riots that upended Chinatown in season two, Mai Ling uses her government connections to consolidate power, while Ah Sahm and the Hop Wei must find new ways to survive. Season three of the Max Original drama series Warrior, based on the writings of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, has been hailed as the most underrated action series of the century.

Warrior was created by Jonathan Topper and is executive produced by Evan Endicott, Josh Stoddard, Justin Lin, Danielle Woodrow and Andrew Schneider, Shannon Lee, Brad Kane and Richard Sharkey. The series stars Andrew Koji, Olivia Cheng, Jason Tobin, Dianne Doan, Kieran Bew, Dean Jagger, Tom Weston-Jones, Hoon Lee, Perry Yung, Langley Kirkwood, Miranda Raison, Chen Tang, Chelsea Muirhead, Mark Dacascos, and Joe Taslim.
