For 15 years, Hall H at San Diego Comic Con was hallowed geek ground. It was the one place in which Hollywood’s biggest studios would assemble all of their biggest stars and announce their biggest news. It was where Kevin Feige would first hint at the possibility of an interconnected universe of movies, where Andrew Garfield cosplayed as Spider-Man, and where LOST would find some of its earliest fans. But with Marvel and DC moving their respective slate announcements to D23 and Fandome respectively, it was just a matter of time before Netflix – and their growing stable of creative IPs – did the same. Which brings us to TUDUM.
What is TUDUM?
TUDUM. TU-DUM. Get it? Say it out loud. It’s kinda clever.
Exactly a month from now, on 25 September, Netflix will be hosting what they’re calling a “global fan event,” which will bring together their biggest stars and creators from around the world, on a virtual stage, to share updates, exclusives, and first looks for over 70 TV shows, movies, and specials.
How Can I Watch It?
The event will take the form of a three hour livestream that begins at 9AM PST on 25 September 2021 / 12AM MYT on 26 September 2021, and will broadcast across Netflix’s YouTube channels worldwide, in addition to Twitter and Twitch.
There will also be special pre-shows that spotlight Korean and Indian TV shows and movies, along with exciting anime content, that will kick-off at 8PM MYT on 25 September 2021. (We’ll be sure to share more details on that as soon as we get them!)
What TV Shows and Movies Are They Going To Feature?
EVERYTHING! (Well, almost.) Name your favourite Netflix show and they’re likely going to be talking about it. From Stranger Things and Bridgerton, to The Witcher and Cobra Kai, to The Sandman, and Red Notice, and The Old Guard, and Extraction. You know what, here’s the whole list for you to look through. With TUDUM, Netflix will be giving fans the opportunity to be the first to hear breaking news and see first looks, new trailers, and exclusive clips during interactive panels and conversations with the creators and stars from a whole range of their programming.
