Parasyte: The Grey, a brand new sci-fi body horror series from the director of Train to Busan and Peninsula, tells the story of alien parasites that have come to earth and the humans who have been tasked with fighting back. In this Goggler exclusive, we sat down with director Yeon Sang-ho to talk about his Korean reimagining of this classic Japanese Manga.

Parasyte: The Grey is now streaming on Netflix.

Unidentified parasites that appeared all around the world threaten humanity by seizing human brains and organizing themselves to grow in power. To fight back against them, the task force Team Grey is formed. The parasitic organism that tried to invade Su-in spares her life moments before her death and is only able to partially take over her brain. Thus, a strange coexistence between the human Su-in and the parasyte Heidi begins. Amid the fierce, never-ending battle between humans and parasites, Su-in, who is now neither human nor parasyte, becomes mired in a series of dangerous events.

Parasyte: The Grey was directed by Yeon Sang-Ho and stars Jeon So-nee, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Lee Jung-hyun.
