With the premiere of Disney Plus’ latest addition to the Star Wars canon on Friday, May 27, we got the chance to sit down with the director of Obi-Wan Kenobi to talk to her about her relationship with the movie franchise, go through some quick fire Star Wars questions, and dealing with the expectations of bringing these characters back to our screens.
Obi-Wan Kenobi begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat – the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. Darth Vader however has set up the Sith Inquistors program, a group of Dark Side Force users, to hunt down any surviving Jedi after Order 66.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was directed by Deborah Chow and stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Rupert Friend, Joel Edgerton, Kumail Nanjiani, and Moses Ingram.
