In this fictionalized account of his “adventures,” we see Father Amorth take on both a vicious demon, and a centuries-old conspiracy that the Vatican has tried to keep buried. The Pope’s Exorcist was directed by Julius Avery and stars Russell Crowe, Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe, and Franco Nero. The movie is loosely based on the books An Exorcist Tells His Story and An Exorcist: More Stories, by Father Gabriele Amorth.
